Our new adventure

our new hosts, Posted by Picasa

What a wonderful feeling to have friends like the Lockharts. When they learned of our situation they invited us to join them on their boat. What a nice and warm gesture, we could not refuse their offer and are looking forward to sailing with them to who knows where!!!!. Things do happen for a reason and this feels good.

PS: Ray the med doesn't sound bad ha ha

The turning point

Packing up the boat Posted by Picasa

It was a hard week. we decided to haul out the boat and bring it back to shediac. Marigot needs open heart surgery. Ah well everything happens for a reason, that is what people tell us. I can't wait to see what the reason is.

Boothbay 3

Sylvie and Diane Posted by Picasa

Wednesday the weather is clear, we are saying goodby to some friends and are heading to Boston.

more engine problems Posted by Picasa

On our way out of the harbour, we notice that the engine doesn't feel right. it seems to be labouring alot. We can't get the spped we should be without pushing the little diesel too hard. We had to turn around. maybe we have something caught underneath???

Marigot Posted by Picasa

I dove underneath and everything is clean, great antifouling by the way CSC. I check the oil pressure and it seems a little bit low. I wonder if we havn't worn out the rings when we lost the oil the last time. If the rings are a bit worn the lost of pressure in the cylinder would explain the lack of power????? After checking the motor out and talking with the people at the marina, we come to the conclusion that the diesel needs a motor job! We will need to take her out of the water and bring her back to Canada. Stay tuned for part two of the adventure because i promised sylvie that we weren't staying in Canada we will figure something out. Maybe we will hitch a ride with somebody for a few month's?, Panama for spanish lessons? who knows?

Nous revenons!!!!! Posted by Picasa
